Beauty Review - Big and Daring Mascara by Avon

I have recently tested a new mascara that Avon are releasing in campaign 15 for my mother, Belinda (Avon Sales Leader). This mascara is called Big and Daring and I was asked to sample it in black.

Now, usually I would not go for mascaras that have thick brushes as they tend to clump eyelashes together. Although this makes them look thick, it does not give the natural long lash effect that I look for in mascaras. I have small and reasonably fine eyelashes therefore was unsure if this would be suitable for me. Having applied mascara most days since I was 12/13 (I am now 20), I have had my fair share of messy mascara situations and can tell what mascaras to avoid and which ones work well!

Big and Daring by Avon is different to the 'usual' thick brushed mascaras.

Been a while since I last blogged,  I have been asking people to test out some of the Avon products.  Soon they will place their opinions on here for all of you to make your own decisions on the good and bad of Avon products.

I have been testing Avon Nail Varnish so here is my opinion of them.

First is Nailwear pro,  this nail varnish is good, goes on easily and has a very smooth finish.  As long as you have time as this nail varnish takes a while to dry and needs 2 coats to give a really great finish.  It does chip and I found it needed to be replaced after 2-3 days.  If you are wearing it specially for a night out then it would look great.

Nailwear pro+  is as good as its original but does give a better finish.  It lasts as long and chips less.  Still only really great for a night out and not for more than a few days.

The next nail varnish for the real night clubbing and show off nails is the Metallic Colour Attract with the wands.  With plenty of colours to choose from and a choice of 4 wands you can make your nails very personal.
You just need to choose your colour, then hold the wand over your nails and the will pattern appear.  The Star and the Chevron are (in my opinion) the best of them the other 2 are not as dramatic.  You could put a different pattern on each of your nails.

Doing this does take time and patience as you need to hold the wand over each nail as soon as you have put the polish on for at least 30 secs for it to work properly.  It does look really effective and stunning as the metallic colours in the polish really catches the light well.

The last one I tested is the new one Nail Gel, this is only just about to come out in the next brochure (8).  If you want to try it before you buy then contact your local representative as he/she will be able to help you with this.

This doesn't need any form of heat to fix it onto your nails nor does it take a long time to dry.  After just approx 30secs it is dry and it lasts for almost a week before it started to recede.  It didn't chip and I only needed one coat for an amazing finish.

This Nail Gel is amazing and definitely the best nail varnish Avon has done so far.  There are 24 colours to choose from including all the most popular.  What I liked is the fact that you don't need an undercoat or topcoat and it contains products to help feed and protect your nails.

If you would like to test and blog about any Avon products then please let me know so I can see what you think of them.

Thank you

Crazy Weather

Wow this weather is absolutely crazy.  I hope anyone who was out collecting books or making their Avon deliveries stayed safe in this really strong wind.

So while we are safe and warm and thanking our lucky stars that we are not flooded out, lets look at some Avon products

How about a look at our new gel nail varnish.  Only available from Avon. This picture shows you the difference of our new Gel Nail Polish 7 in 1. Which if you are in love with your nail colours then these should save you some time and money in the long run.  Which has got to be a great thing.

This is our amazing Mega effects mascara,  one large brush with an easy to carry case.  It is in 3 colours, Blackest Black, Black Brown and Navy.  Which one would you choose?  All of them are easy to use and have been very popular since there introduction.

Here are 2 of the colour palettes Avon does with the eyeshadow quad.  These are really handy with the tidy mirror and numbers to help you know where on your eyes to put each colour.

Update

Not been able to sit and write recently as it has been delivery week. Been very busy sorting and taking out products to my customers.  With the weather being as bad as it has been recently it has been a case of dodging the rain.

I love going, seeing, and catching up with everyone.  I saw a video on You Tube a while ago about being an Avon rep and how to interact with your customers, the one thing that has stayed with me from that is 'you are the Avon lady/man and that is all.'  it went on to explain that although we see these people every 3 weeks, we are not their friends and do not expect to be invited to their family bbq.

I have realized over the year that I have been with Avon that this is very true.  I like my customers, get on well with them, and it is nice to see they are well.  But with all that said it is also nice to not be responsible for their well being or worry about them.

I have an amazing family and it is my responsibility to worry about them and help my friends.

Just a little insight from me after I realized that I have now been with Avon for a year this campaign and have been having such a great time, I do not want it to end.  How many of us get to do a job which we find totally brilliant.

I have been very lucky this week and have signed up 2 new Avon representatives and have had one of my team promote to Sales Leader.

Hopefully they will enjoy the ride as much as I have.  Though I am still to have a rep last for more than 9 months.  If she makes it to the year I think a gift basket from me will be in order as a Thank you.

If you want to join my team and find out how much fun is possible then please complete the appplication form and I will be in touch.

Go To: Avon Connects:belinda68
then click on become a representative

Fill in the simple form and I will get to you asap.
It really is that easy to start your own business.

After such a tiring yet great week I am now looking forward to Thursday.  I am going to an Avon Seminar about exciting new things which are happening with Avon.
I will be back again asap.

I have been out today giving people the new books for our next campaign,  Even in this wet weather it is surprisingly therapeutic to walk around outside with no one talking to you.  After a day of constant noise at work I am finding that the moments of peace I get are really great.

Don't get me wrong, I like meeting and talking to people, just sometimes having a few moments to yourself is needed.  I wasn't looking forward to dropping off the books, but as I have realized today that during the time I am dropping them that I do not have to look my best, I don't have to think and I can let my mind drift to any where I want to go.

Who needs expensive relaxation therapy when you can wrap up, get some fresh air and think about anything you want.

My Moroccan Miracle - A Review

Like many ladies out there, I have tried many different shampoos and conditioners to try and find the right one for me. I have quite fine hair, and have wanted something that will protect my hair, allowing it to grow without splitting at the ends. I have tried products like Tresemme; Pantene Pro-V; VO5, but none of them have really had the desired affect.
However, a few months ago a friend recommended 'Moroccan Oil' to help strengthen and protect my hair. After hearing about how the product worked for her, I thought I would look into Moroccan Oil products. I looked in the shops, however they were all rather pricey. It was by chance that my mum works for Avon and showed me a brochure with it in. At the time I purchased it, the Moroccan Argan Oil Shampoo and Conditioner were on offer at £1.40 each (originally £2.80 each) which was great. After just a few washes I could see the difference.

Unlike most hair products, I've found that this one lasts. Applying it is just like any other shampoo and conditioner, but the results are definitely different. It makes my hair look shiny and feel soft and light all day. It also helps keep frizz under control. After using the shampoo and conditioner for a couple of weeks, I thought I would also try the Moroccan Argan Oil Leave-in Treatment, also by Avon. I'm so glad I did because I can't live without it now. For only £5.50, it has given my hair so much more life.

Argan Oil helps dry and damaged hair by repairing and protecting it. Most instructions state that you should massage the oil into the hair. I found that when rubbing it into the roots it caused my hair to look greasy and untidy, so I now avoid that. Every time I wash my hair, I towel dry it and rub the oil into the ends of my damp hair. The oil then dries and soaks into the hair making it stronger and healthier. Argan Oil also contains UV protection so is great for use on holidays. It is brilliant for heat damaged hair, and helps protect against further damage.

After using these products, I'm pretty confident that I will not have to keep switching products, as I have now found the one that suits me perfectly. It has looked after my hair well, allowing it to finally grow. I love this product and would recommend it to anyone!

New to blogging

As this is my first time writing a blog I will keep it simple,  I am an Avon Sales Leader and absolutely love it.  I only started last year as a representative and after just 3 months I became a Sales Leader.  This has been an amazing experience and have learned alot about myself and how to mix with other people.

If you were ever thinking about working from home then I would recommend looking at all of the different possibilities.  i.e Betterware, Kleeneze, Amway, Tupperware, Ann Summers etc.  and of course AVON.
Check the sign up fees, if there is one,  what is the outlay going to be in the long run and what % commission you are going to earn.

Once you have done your research then it will be time for you to decide if any of them are for you.  If you decide you want to learn more (after looking at youtube)  then please feel free to contact me and I will gladly give you some honest answers about AVON,

As time goes on I will post more about my new career and share my experiences with you.

I did say I will keep this simple so I will leave you here.

Look forward to blogging again soon.
